Co-op Guide — Synergies, Revives & Best Duo Builds
Co-op Mode Overview
Arms of God supports 2-3 player co-op. Party size scales enemy HP and damage. The sweet spot is 2 players — 3-player scaling makes bosses significantly harder.
Scaling: Each additional player adds +60% enemy HP and +25% enemy damage.
Revive System
When a teammate dies, they enter a "downed" state for 30 seconds. During this time:
- Teammates can revive by standing next to them for 3 seconds
- Reviving can be interrupted by taking damage
- If not revived within 30 seconds, they die permanently (respawn at last checkpoint)
Pro tip: Paladin's Radiant Bastion creates a safe window for revives. Pop it, then revive freely.
Best Class Combinations
S-Tier Duo: Paladin + Assassin
Paladin tanks aggro while Assassin backstabs. This combo has the highest single-target DPS in the game. Paladin's survivability means the Assassin rarely needs to revive.
S-Tier Duo: Mage + Mage
Two Mages with Stormcaller's Staff + Frost Amulet melts entire rooms. Chain lightning bounces between enemies and can chain off both players' targets. The downside: both are squishy.
A-Tier Trio: Paladin + Mage + Sniper
Balanced party for all situations. Paladin tanks, Mage clears trash, Sniper handles priority targets.
A-Tier Duo: Paladin + Paladin
Double Radiant Bastion means near-invulnerability. Slow clear speed but virtually unkillable. Great for learning boss mechanics.
Shared Loot Rules
- Gold: Split equally
- Weapons: Each player gets their own drops
- Blessings: Each player gets separate blessing choices
- Legendary drops: Roll-based (higher roll wins, system is random)
- Cathedral upgrades: Individual (each player must upgrade separately)
Communication Tips
1. Call out boss telegraphs — not everyone sees them through the visual clutter
2. Agree on target priority before fights (especially shade summons)
3. Save Radiant Bastion / invulnerability for revives
4. Don't both stand in the same AOE — spread out
